About the company health check
What does the company health check show?
Where a company stands this week on a five-step scale, from distress to breakout, with the reasons: what changed in its hiring, on its website, in its traffic and in its news over the last 13 weeks.
What do the five health bands mean?
Distress is clear signs of trouble, such as layoffs or a hiring freeze. Watch is some signs of trouble. Steady is no strong move either way. Growing is signs of growth, and breakout is strong signs of growth, such as funding, a hiring surge or a move into new countries.
How often is the health band updated?
Every week. The band shown is the latest finished week, and a free account shows the band week by week.
How do I tell if a company is in trouble?
Enter its website. A company in the distress or watch band comes back with its reasons, such as a hiring freeze, fewer open roles than a month before, a careers page taken down or news of layoffs.
Can I check a supplier, customer or competitor?
Yes. Enter the website of any company to see its band and reasons. The free check takes one company at a time; the Fokals MCP and API return health for whole lists of companies.
