Use cases

What you can build

Use case .01

Enrich company profiles

Add technology stack, hiring activity, announcements and headcount to the company records your product already holds.

Use case .02

Power alerts, scores and screens

Trigger on dated changes: a tool adopted, a team built out, a funding round announced, a surge in intent on a topic.

Use case .03

Redistribute to your customers

Offer Fokals datasets inside your own catalogue or marketplace, under a redistribution licence.

Built to integrate

The properties an integration depends on are fixed and documented.

Stable identifiers
A persistent company_id on every row, with stable identifiers for technologies, topics, event types and series.
Versioned definitions
Labels and scores are produced under named, frozen versions. Breaking changes are released as a new version with at least 90 days’ notice.
Documented schema
Every table and column is defined in the public data dictionary, with the methodology and API reference alongside.
Provenance
Each packaged delivery includes a manifest naming its sources, period and label versions. Records carry their source and observation time.
Security identifiers
Ticker, MIC, ISIN, LEI and FIGI on listed companies, for joining to market data.

Licensing

Licences cover internal use, embedding in a product and redistribution. Scope, term and territory are set out in a written data licence. Delivery options and data sourcing are documented in full.
